The May 19, 2026 General Primary & Nonpartisan General Election SAMPLE ballots are posted below. The Nonpartisan ballot is labeled with PINK highlight. The Republican & Nonpartisan ballot is labeled with ORANGE highlight & is 2 pages (front & back). The Democratic & Nonpartisan ballot is labeled with BLUE highlight & is 2 pages (front & back). Early voting, located at the Clay County Courthouse will begin Monday, April 27, 2026 and will end Friday, May 15, 2026. Saturday voting will be held on May 2, 2026 and May 9, 2026. The hours of early voting are 9:00AM until 5:00PM. The Clay County Courthouse is located at 210 S Washington ST, Fort Gaines, GA 39851. Election Day is Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Voting is from 7:00AM until 7:00PM. Election Day voting will be located at the Social Services building, 159 Wilson ST, Fort Gaines, GA 39851. Notice is hereby given that the following candidate has withdrawn as candidate for race on May 19, 2026 - General Primary.

As required by O.C.G.A. § 21-2-134 (a)(1), "all votes cast for the withdrawn candidate shall be void and shall not be counted.

NOTIFICATION
In accordance with Georgia law, the Clay County Board of Assessors must notify property owners prior to making a site visit. Notice is hereby given that a representative of the appraisal staff will review and inspect properties for the current digest year. The appraisal reviews may include measuring structures, listing construction information, and photographing the subject property.

Reasonable notice is also given that an onsite inspection may be required for real or personal property being returned or appealed. Property visits will be for the purpose of determining the correctness of the information contained in the county's appraisal record for the property.

County appraisers will be in a marked "Board of Assessors" vehicle and have photo identification.
